Above the window at the corner, a lüftlmalerei of Saint Elisabeth with an angel giving roses to a beggar and child.
According toHeinrich Bickel – The Fresco Painter from Werdenfels, published in Germany in 1990, the authors note that this lüftlmalerei was painted by Heinrich Bickel in “1973” for “Frau E. Reiser”.
Was that a scrivener’s error, simply transposing “1937”, or did someone else complete this particular painting after Bickel died in 1965?
