Höllentalstraße

Höllentalstraße 4.

Höllentalstraße 10.

Höllentalstraße 30, “Haus Elisabeth.”

Above the window at the corner, a lüftlmalerei of Saint Elisabeth with an angel giving roses to a beggar and child.

According to Heinrich Bickel – The Fresco Painter from Werdenfels, published in Germany in 1990, the authors note that this lüftlmalerei was painted by Heinrich Bickel in “1973” for “Frau E. Reiser”.

Was that a scrivener’s error, simply transposing “1937”, or did someone else complete this particular painting after Bickel died in 1965?

Höllentalstraße 48, “Hotel Staudacherhof.”

Ornamental decoration and images of saints Ursula and Francis painted by Christa Burges in 1981.

Höllentalstraße 55, a banner with the house name with birds and flowers.

Höllentalstraße 59, a banner that translates, roughly, to “Mountains, you light up a steady, standing goal for us. Do not waver! Up to the light!”

Höllentalstraße 68.
