Fritz-Müller-Straße 52.

Above the door, a medallion of Saint George slaying a dragon in the center of a checkered field, flanked on the left and the right by Bavarian farmers.

On the side, a lüftlmalerei painted by Eberhard Hülsmann in 1977 titled “Holztrift on the Partnach.”

The Holztrift, or “wood drifting,” is the German word for the way lumber used to be transported down the Partnach River.  As depicted in the painting here, the wood was kept loose — not tied together like a raft — so that the tree trunks washed down stream separately.
